Cultivating Health, Happiness and Prosperity through Coaching, Counseling and Education.
Development begins with ourself. Therefore, this area concerns self-development and although oftentimes self-development is used interchangeably with self-improvement, the former tends to reflect the humanistic premise that people are naturally motivated to be the best they can be.
Self-development is vital to living a life that is happy, healthy, successful and Divinely purposeful that this is an Elite Coaching specialty.
Everyone is on a journey to betterment, or as described by Maslow 'self-actualization'. The Course In Miracles puts it 'everyone must come here in the end'; and many texts discuss creation and co-creation. So wouldn't it be a great idea to begin this amazing journey today? Begin that learning now? Incorporate that into everyday life? Live happier, healthier, more positively, lovingly, more aware, more peaceful?
Another way of looking at self-development is in the recognition of whatever I do, whether I live and work autonously, am a CEO of a large corporation or have family/spouse etc, how I act and react within that impacts and influences others. If I have a particular idea about myself that will influence those around me and guide what I do and how I think.
And it all begins with self-image which can be defined as the perception of oneself, and includes self-assessment of qualities and personal worth.
Self-image reflects upon the innate belief in ability to achieve a goal, and is also the prisoner which keeps us safely locked within our comfort zones. A partner to confidence, it is self-image which is behind the prompt to take a risk (i.e. to go beyond the comfort zone) or which keeps us in perpetual stagnation regardless of our good intentions and plans.
"The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system." - Gary Craig. With this vital piece of information, the link between disruptions to our energy system, the way we feel about ourselves and subsequently our actions becomes more apparent. As previously stated these disruptions may be caused by trauma in any regard, be it emotional, physical, energetic or cognitive. These disruptions are then carried into our psyche and into the way we view ourselves.
In short we build a picture of ourselves which incorporates the trauma as if it were us, adding a negative emotion or non-serving belief which then impacts on our everyday life, influencing decisions, keeping us feeling limited in some way.
EFT can be used to neutralize negative emotions or limiting beliefs. Getting to the cause and permanently dissolving limiting factors allows a more positive, better serving self-image to emerge; improving confidence and allowing you to be who you want to be, go where you want to go and live how you want to live.
